Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American screen and stage actress best recognized for her roles in films on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She has a Bachelor's degree in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis. Ellis is an American actor and producer who is actively involved in theater, film, and on television. She began her career as an actress in theatre before going on to appear in many television shows, both mainstream and independent films. She became famous as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as in BET's epic show The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she received critical acclaim and a variety of nominations and awards including the Television Critics Choice Award for the best Actress. In 1995, she made her debut in the role of Ariel on the stage on stage in The Tempest. On Broadway she's appeared as a character in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Her film work is highlighted by her roles as a character in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Also, she is well-known for her role on ABC's crime show High Incident.
